Final Three, Number Three… Closing out the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season at Homestead-Miami Speedway this Friday night, Dakoda Armstrong will also complete his first full season in the series by starting the Ford EcoBoost 200. Since his first start in July 2011, Armstrong has recorded a best finish of third last year at Michigan, and has posted five top-10 finishes in 43 starts. The 22-year-old has one previous NCWTS start at the 1.5-mile oval in 2011, as well as a NASCAR Nationwide Series start last season at the Florida track. Both events ended with a 25th-place result, but Armstrong has confidence that this trip to South Florida will bring a different ending.

"It's been kind of hit or miss for me at intermediate tracks this year, but I feel like I've learned a lot that I can carry with me to Homestead. It's been a pretty up and down year so far for the WinField team, but regardless of the results I've definitely gained a lot of experience and I'm feeling more comfortable in these trucks every week. Richie Wauters and the guys on this No. 60 crew have really helped me over these past few weeks and I'm confident we'll have another fast Silverado right off the truck this weekend."

Double Duty… Aside from closing out his first full season of NCWTS competition this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Armstrong will also gain some extra seat time by joining TriStar Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS). Piloting the No. 19 WinField machine on Saturday, Armstrong will be making his sixth NNS start of the season, the first for the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team.

"Any time I can get behind the wheel is always a help to me, and I'm thankful for my sponsor WinField and TriStar Motorsports for creating this opportunity to close out this season," Armstrong explained. "WinField has been a great sponsor this year in both the truck and Nationwide series. We're definitely already looking forward to continuing our relationship next year and this is just another opportunity to build on our program before 2014. I was able to run the Nationwide Series race last year at Homestead so it'll hopefully shorten my learning curve and we can get down to business and give this No. 19 team a good run on Saturday."

This Weekend’s WinField Silverado… Making its debut run this season with Armstrong behind the wheel, chassis No. 14 has been prepared by Richie Wauters and the No. 60 WinField team. This particular chassis was built by Kyle Busch Motorsports specifically for intermediate tracks and Armstrong hopes to give it a good showing in its first appearance.

Previous Race Recap: Phoenix… Making his first career start at Phoenix International Raceway in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) competition, Dakoda Armstrong entered Friday night's Lucas Oil 150 with hopes to quickly adapt to the track and seal a solid finish in the WinField Silverado. Battling a tight handling condition throughout the main event and dodging several on-track incidents, Armstrong fought through 150 laps for a 19th-place finish.

Dakoda Armstrong on Homestead-Miami Speedway…
"I haven't had the best luck at Homestead in the past, but I know that this team and Richie (Wauters, crew chief) have put a lot of hard work into preparing a fast WinField Silverado for this weekend. I feel like I have improved on the intermediate tracks this season, and Friday's race will be a good test. Finishing out this season with a good run will be huge for me to build up momentum in the off-season, and I really want to get WinField a good finish to close out the year."

Broadcast Information… The NCWTS race broadcast from Homestead-Miami Speedway is scheduled to begin live on Fox Sports 1, beginning with the NCWTS Setup at 7:30 pm ET. Radio coverage of the event will be provided by MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio as well at 7:30 pm ET.
