For many, the Fourth of July holiday is considered the turning point of the summer. Not only will NASCAR fans across the nation get to celebrate with friends, family and fireworks, the NASCAR Nationwide Series will also be putting on a show under the lights.

The series will return to the Daytona International Speedway for the second time in 2014. Dakoda Armstrong is looking to create a boom this Friday night with a solid Top-Five finish. Armstrong finished 23rd in this year's Nationwide Series season opener after receiving damage to the right-side of the car during the race.

In his only other Superspeedway start this year, Armstrong qualified fifth and finished 18th after running in the Top-10 for the majority of the race at Talladega Superspeedway. Between three different racing series, Armstrong has 10 starts at superspeedway tracks, including one ARCA win at Talladega Superspeedway in 2010 and a Top-Five at the same track in 2013 truck series event.

Armstrong Weekend Chatter

"We didn't get the start that we wanted at Daytona at the beginning of the year, but we did a lot better job at Talladega this spring. We qualified Top-Five and were running in the Top-10 for the whole second half of the race. There were some late restarts that messed us up, and we didn't get the finish we wanted, but I'm ready to get back to a superspeedway and redeem ourselves. Daytona is a little tougher because the groove is narrower than Talladega, but I think our Superspeedway package is a lot better than earlier in the year. I think the biggest thing is we'll need to qualify well. Without the tandem, I feel like it's harder to get through the field; it takes more time, so track position will be more important than it used to be."
